France is out of World Cup 2010 > South Africa the host nation defeats France 1- 2
France, the 2006 runner-up to Italy ended it's World Cup in last place. South Africa has slain the French Dragon but is it enough to see them through to the next round. Desperately poor effort from France in South Africa this World Cup 2010. France will go home with their heads held in shame. Not only that but every blog and sports channel is shaming France for their performance.
It's back to the drawing board.
90+ minutes
The game ends with a 2-1 for S.Africa
70 minutes
GOAL – MALOUDA!!! France get one back after Sagna passes to Ribery to the right side of the box and he hits a square cross from the right for Malouda to tap in
37 minutes
GOAL – MPHELA!!!! Mphela slots home from close range after a cross from Masilela on the left and he beats Clich.
20 GOAL – KHUMALO!!! Tshabalala takes the corner on the right into the box. The keeper Lloris comes out to ctach but gets no where near it and Khumalo is there to head home from five yards at the back post!!
Excellent Showing from bafana bafana and it's sad to see them leave. Well at least they won't have far to travel.

World Cup 2010 Portugal vs. North Korea June 21 > It started out competitive but it did not end that way.
It started out competitive but it did not end that way. Three goals in 15 minutes as the football navigators chart their way into a World Cup 2010 win over North Korea.
The final score Total Annihilation of the North Korean Death Star.
Day 11, Match 1
Portugal vs. North Korea, Group G
Date and Location
June 21, Green Point Stadium, Cape Town
29 minutes in and it’s a GOAL – MEIRELES! Lovely run from Portugal up the mid field low into the net, great finish!
Early goal in the first half but the goal rush came in the second.
Surely there's nothing new about a space fortress. North Korea found that out the hard way. The Portuguese Navigators consistently fired on goal in the second half. One drawback of the original design was the power systems. The North Korean Goal was swarmed by Portuguese Rebel forces. Shots that seemed to be guided by the force rained down on Kim jong ill 's porthole until his death start head finally blew up.

World Cup 2010 –Chile vs. Switzerland June 21
Our referee today is Khalil Al Ghamdi from Saudi Arabia. Respect his authority.
90 seconds in Card happy ref Khalil Al Ghamdi the respect my authority Referee came out early to dominate this game to bad no one told him we were all here to Chile vs. Switzerland not “Khalil Al Ghamdi ” vs. Chile vs. Switzerland.
Constant game stoppage combined with excessive abuses of power from the Ref Khalil Al Ghamdi has turned this game into a choppy frustrating event. Switzerland is trying to hang on for a tie or a even a win.
The Yellow cards were a plenty and 1 red until Videl gives the Swiss the wag of his finger after a slap happy event inside the box and it looked like another red card but it up came the yellow.
Switzerland playing with 10 men provided an exciting defence and you have to wonder what the outcome of this game would have been if they could go back in time to just before the red card. Behrami flails an elbow in the face of two Chile players then he repeated it on Arturo Vidal and is sent off!
47 minutes in and the ref wants a word with Gonzalez for a challenge. Then it’s a yellow card for Barnetta for tugging, no happy ending from this ref.
There was football fortune to be decided during the last ten minutes of the Chile vs. Switzerland game. The Swiss defence remained vigilant to the Chilean attach until Marc Gonzales makes it 1 zilch for Chile with a fine header.
The Swizz were looking for an offside card but it never came.
Vital goal for Chile
In the last ten minutes the Swiss press hard but with only ten men and time running out it all seems to be an uphill hike for them. With the ref blowing free kick to each side every couple of minutes it has become a difficult match to watch.
Frustration is what the Swiss side is feeling as Chile pressure them again. So much is at stake here at each side has three points.
What a chance by Didiock and where were the Chilean defence this time. What an opportunity with 3 minutes of stoppage time.
Booking for Donely inside the box? No it’s given to Chile
It has to be now for Switzerland
Great crossing position as they attach but the whistle blows. It’s back to the drawing board for Switzerland.\
Mark Gonzales proved to score the winning goal. This one was a nail bitter and a solid defence was presented by the Swiss.
Chile has 6 points now and after setting a record for the longest run without giving up a goal in world Cup; they appear to be ready for the best the world has to offer.

SERBIA
SERBIA: "
The Serbian Centre
2520 Dixie Rd., Mississauga
National intel: Expect extraordinary displays of emotion and newly minted patriotism, says Jovan Filipovic, vice-president of the Serbian Youth League. It's the first time Serbia has ever played as its own team, under its own name (not Yugoslavia, not Montenegro, just straight-up Serbia). 'It's huge for us,' he says.
The pitch: Families with kids and grandparents in tow will watch the games at the Serbian church at a community centre in Mississauga.
The grub: In a big room with a linoleum floor and card tables heaving with Serbian classic fare such as cevapi (small sausages), sweet crepes with Nutella and walnuts, and strong Serbian beer like Jelen.

Usually a spot for people-watching, offers a place to watch soccer in Yorkville, which, let's face it, is not often considered a World Cup hot spot. The owners are from New Zealand, but the bar has no official allegiance. Even so, Orange Alert! In the last World Cup, a number of Netherlands supporters adopted the bar as home base. The bar is choosing to keep a neutral position, so it's unclear whether the Dutch will flock back this year.
